The 2024 New Zealand Dairy Study Tour, hosted by Burra in March, was a great success. Designed to offer educational and networking opportunities for our Milk Supply Partners, it did not disappoint, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
21 of Burra Foods finest representatives joined forces with a delegation of dairy farmer members from all over the world to attend the Global Dairy Farmers Congress in New Zealand from 17th to 22nd March. Throughout the tour participants were engaged in a range of experiences, from a conference with industry leaders to stimulating farm visits and cultural encounters. Keynote speakers throughout the congress provided invaluable insights, inspiring attendees with their knowledge, passion & innovation.
The real highlight of the tour were the connections forged among participants. From sharing practical dairy farming advice to brainstorming ideas & group problem solving, the tour fostered a sense of unity and collaboration. These connections are invaluable, laying the groundwork for ongoing relationships and support among peers to embrace new technology, ideas & challenges as we head towards greener horizons.
A significant factor in the tour’s success was the generous support from sponsors McColl’s Transport, MADCAP Dairy Supply Chain Software and Evans Petroleum. Their contributions demonstrated the opportunity for industry partnerships in driving innovation & collective progress.
Reflecting on the tour, Milk Supply Manager Peter Fort was pleased to receive very positive feedback from participants. “The success of our Dairy Study Tours highlight our commitment to supporting and empowering our Milk Supply Partners. It’s great to see the impact it has had in promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration in our dairy community. At Burra Foods, we are dedicated to building on the momentum generated by the tour and continuing to support our Milk Supply Partners in an everchanging environment.”
The New Zealand Dairy Study Tour is an example of the importance of collaboration and education within our dairy farming community. Burra extends sincere thanks to all participants and our sponsors for their contributions to this very successful event.
