At Burra, we value our community and the ongoing support that we receive. In turn, we are keen to give back and to contribute in a meaningful way to the lives of those around us.
Established in 2013, the Burra Foundation continues to support local groups and organisations by providing grants that benefit our community.
Recently, we have increased our major sponsorship of the Korumburra Bena Giants Football Netball Club, which will run from 2023 to 2025. Our donation of $4000 enabled the Korumburra Bowls Club to install new bowling greens lighting, and we supported the Dumbalk Progress Association by donating $2500 towards the purchase of a basketball ring for the community.
During the past year, a range of grants were provided to numerous community groups and organisations including Bena Hall Committee, Ellinbank Football Netball Club, Poowong Basketball Association, Foster Cricket Club, West Gippsland ARC, Korumburra Cricket Club, South Gippsland Holstein Breeders Club, Stony Creek Football Netball Club, Port Albert Yacht Club, Poowong Recreation Reserve, Loch & District Bowling Club, Gippsland Dairy Youth All Breeds Show, Hedley CFA, Poowong Consolidated Primary School, OMK Cricket Club, Korumburra Golf Club, South Gippsland Tennis Coaching, Rotary Club of Koo Wee Rup / Lang Lang and Yarram Secondary College.
