Spicy Dumplings

Ingredients

Dumplings

  • 30 dumpling wrappers
  • 600 grams of cream cheese
  • 1 bunch of chopped chives
  • 1 lime zest
  • 1 limes juiced
  • Pinch of chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

 

Asian garnish

  • 1 red chilli chopped in julienne
  • 1 knob of ginger chopped in julienne
  • 100 g of spring onions chopped thinly

 

Dressing

  • 100 grams of soy sauce
  • 30 grams sesame oil
  • 70 grams caster sugar
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 40 grams white vinegar
  • 2 coriander roots
  • 1/2 green chilli
  • 40 grams fresh ginger
Method

Dumplings

  1. Mix all ingredients together until you have a smooth texture.
  2. Place a wrapper in your hand, brush the edge with some egg or water, place some mix in the middle of the wrapper and close with your choice of dumpling shape.
  3. Boil or steam for 5 minutes, serve with the sauce and garnish from the recipe below.

 

Dressing

  1. Blitz all the ingredients until smooth, pass through a thieve to strain any chunky bits.

 

Cook more than you can eat, and freeze these for future lunch time meals.
