Our Brand Ambassador
Australian Olympian high jumper, Eleanor Patterson, perfectly reflects the essence of the Burra Foods brand: Community, Ingenuity and Sustainability.
Eleanor Patterson
Eleanor is a homegrown Gippsland girl from Leongatha. As one of Australia’s most successful female high jumpers. She is the reigning world champion, jumping an Australian record of 2.02m in Eugene, Oregon on 19 July 2022. Having qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she jumped 1.95m in her group and therefore qualified for the final. There she managed 1.96m for a fifth-place finish.
Patterson has a personal best of 2.02 m. She is the joint holder of world youth best and the outright holder of the Oceania junior record. She was the gold medalist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the silver medalist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Burra family, including our international partners and customers, and our Gippsland-based Milk Supply Partners, are immensely proud of all that Eleanor has achieved in rising to the pinnacle of her sport.
A Perfect Fit
Burra and Eleanor have more than just their regional Victorian roots in common.
“Burra Foods creates high value products and South Gippsland is such an amazing place with the green rolling hills and farms, it is just such luscious land and it’s able to produce some pretty amazing things – obviously, milk products but I would also like to think we have a fair few athletes from South Gippsland.
“Everyone always says to me ‘what’s in the water?’, but maybe it is just in the milk!”
