Ingredients
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Method
  1. Cream the butter and cream cheese: In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the sugars: Gradually add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until well combined.
  3. Add the wet ingredients: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Cool and serve: Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

These cookies are soft and chewy, with a hint of creaminess from the cream cheese. The chocolate chips add a delightful burst of flavor.
